renewable energy
Refers to energy sources that occur and regenerate naturally and relatively quickly. Examples of renewable energy include electricity and heat generation from solar, wind, tidal, wave, small hydroelectric and biomass (vegetation or crop trash). Renewable energy sources also tend to not to produce greenhouse gas emissions (unlike coal-fired electricity) or tend to be carbon-neutral (such as biomass sources). Fossil fuel and nuclear fuel are not renewable (non-renewable).
