EcoCentre Calendar

The EcoCentre is a not-for-profit community-managed environment group, supported by the City of Port Phillip. The EcoCentre provides a base for a number of affiliate groups involved in a range of activities that promote biodiversity and community action.

Events listed on this page are held at or run by the Port Phillip EcoCentre and its affiliates. Drop in to the EcoCentre or visit the noticeboard outside for more details of what's happening at your environmental community hub, or click here for the latest calandar information.

The EcoCentre is located on the corner of Blessington and Herbert Streets, St Kilda, the northwest corner of the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens.

SKOF

St Kilda Organic Food Cooperative ltd. Saturdays 10am-12pm at Port Phillip EcoCentre, corner of Blessington and Herbert Sts, St Kilda.

On Saturdays from 10.30am-12noon, SKOF distributes boxes of fresh organic fruit and vegetables amongst its members. Boxes cost $25 and members share a roster for delivery and to person the stall. Phone 03 9525 3102 or just drop into the EcoCentre between 10:30 - 12:00 on Saturdays only, for more information.

Port Phillip Urban Fresh Food Network

The Port Phillip Urban Fresh Food Network (PPUFFN) runs quarterly public forums to share information and discuss ways in which we can increase local food production, making the transition to a more sustainable food system. Several action groups are working on projects to help people get involved in growing and sharing fresh food.

Forums are held at the EcoCentre, check the events list for the next meeting or contact the EcoCentre on 9525 3102.

PPUFFN received the Civic Project of the Year award from the City of Port Phillip in 2008.

Earthcare St Kilda

Earthcare St Kilda organise lots of local activities to support the natural environment. From penguin reseach and rakali watching, indigenous plantings and removal of the marine pests from our Bay.
